Dr. Chelsea Johnson is a seasoned, board-certified academic pediatrician dedicated to healthcare innovation. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Johnson launched a concierge-style pediatric telemedicine company while earning her Executive MBA through the University of Missouri–Kansas City’s entrepreneurship program. Her business leadership experience spans direct primary care models, telehealth innovation, and pediatric medical device development.
She has played a clinical consulting role for pediatric medical device company’s novel ultrasound-based otoscope designed to accurately diagnose bacterial ear infections in children. This work naturally led to her latest venture: co-founding Smiling Ear 2 Ear Medical Devices, a company committed to revolutionizing in-office care for pediatric ear conditions. The company’s product suite is focused on office-based, child-friendly solutions for cerumen removal, acute ear pain relief, and ear tube placement—without sedation, surgery, or tears.
